Berkshire Through the Ages

Mesolithic Berkshire

During the Mesolithic Period Berkshire was occupied by hunter gatherers living in a landscape that was still dominated by rivers, and woodland. Occupation sites from this period are typically on river terraces. The main finds are scatterings of flint and stone tools.
