2nd February 2003, 14:00 – 17:00 Quarterly Open Meeting at Woosehill, Wokingham This meeting heard two presentations. One by Vick Pocock entitled: An Iron Age and Roman Site at Beedon and the other by Steve Clark entitled: The origins of Berkshire - see the BARG April 2003 newsletter
18th February 2003, 19:30 – 22:00 Dovecotes project meeting This meeting reviewed the laws and legal rulings relating to doves and dovecotes through the ages
23rd February 2003, 14:00 – 17:00 Hedgerow project meeting This meeting discussed the results of the previous year's work and the plan for 2003
11th March 2003, 19:30 – 22:00 Dovecotes project meeting This meeting discussed the development of breeds of pigeons over time
30th March 2003, 14:00 to 17:00 Quarterly Open Meeting at Datchet This was a presentation by the Datchet Village Society Fieldwalking Group describing their work at Southlea farm. For fuller details see the BARG April 2003 newsletter
27th April 2003: 10:30 onwards Visit to Weald and Downland Museum, West Sussex This was an enjoyable day out visiting the buildings at the museum
6th May 2003 19:30 - 22:00 Dovecotes project meeting This meeting discussed the 4 major phases of dovecote development in England and reviewed the dates of construction and styles of dovecotes in Old Berkshire
10th May 2003 10:00 onwards Peasemore History Day This day was run by the village of Peasemore to review the history of the village. BARG explained the work they were planning to do in the village
7th June 2003 10:00 start Visit to Saxon W and NW Berkshire During the day 20 people visited the church at Wickham, a Saxon charter bound near the White Horse, Wantage Museum and Cuckhamsley Hill or Scutchamer Knob (Cwichelmeshlaew) alongside the Ridgeway.
10th June 2003 19:30 to 22:00 Dovecotes project meeting This meeting reviewed progress of the project
22nd June 2003 Annual General Meeting The committee was elected and other business completed
5th July 2003 Dovecotes project visit The project visited the dovecotes at Compton Beauchamp,   Coxwell Tithe barn, Carswell, Buckland and Grove
8th July 2003 Dovecotes project meeting The project reviewed the proposals to publishers and agreed the text for and article to be published in Berkshire Local History Newsletter
27th July 2003 Peasemore project fieldwork Work started in Peasemore with a resistivity survey
2nd August 2003 Silchester visit Visit to Reading University excavation at Silchester
16th August 2003 Peasemore project fieldwork More resistivity work and start of hedgerow survey
30th August 2003 Peasemore project fieldwork Completed hedgerow survey of the Peasemore enclosure and started on the Old Street hedgerows
5th - 6th October 2003 Peasemore project fieldwork Field walked the eastern third of the Enclosure
19th October 2003 Peasemore field work Washing fieldwalking finds in Peasemore village hall
25th October 2003 Visit to Winchester 12 people visited remains of Roman, Saxon and Norman Winchester (see January 2004 Newsletter for report)
Tuesday  11th November 2003 Dovecotes project meeting Reviewed the first complete copy of the dovecotes book and discussed how to fill in the gaps
Sunday 16th November 2003 Peasemore field work Washing fieldwalking finds in Peasemore village hall

Saturday 6th December 2003 Devils Highway field work Frustrating day with a resistivity meter
